Weapons specialty: Nunchaku, three-section staff, all flails, all chain/cord weapons, and some ninja weapons.
Michelangelo is the most free-spirited one among his brothers. He's care-free, fun-loving, and has a general positive outlook in life.
He doesn't really let anything weigh him down, and he has the unique ability of looking at the brighter side of things. It is because of these qualities that Michelangelo has an impressive judge of character. He's able to see in a person what most tend to miss.
Michelangelo is perhaps mentally the healthiest of the four. The one least likely ever to need therapy. ...However, some believe that through the demeanor of the happy-go-lucky appearance, Michelangelo is infact hiding deeper feelings and emotions.
Of the four, Michelangelo expresses the least interest in training. Dispite his lack of interest, Michelangelo is still an impressive fighter. Most of this is due to his natural gift in athletics, gymnastics, and acrobatics. Indeed Michelangelo is physically perfect for the martial arts, however he does lack the natural affinity for combat and the warrior spirit that Leonardo possesses (and to a lesser extent Raphael).
As for what he is interested in, Michelangelo expresses a love of comic books and video games. He's very much the typical teenager. He's also interested in extreme sports and enjoys a good rough 'n' tumble (which Raphael is usually his partner in).
The Internet is another interest of his, and next to Donatello, Michelangelo is the most proficient with computers.
Michelangelo also expresses a love for science fiction much like Donatello, and also enjoys fantasy fiction.
Also like Donatello, Michelangelo has studied up on First-Aid and is able to assist Donatello or perform it himself when needed.
Michelangelo is also quite the cook and often the one who makes the meals for the family.
Some wouldn't know it, but Michelangelo is infact a rather talented writer and has writen several short stories. His dream infact is to become a professional writer by either breaking into the comic book industry or perhaps writing novels. He's also pretty good at drawing and sketches things from time to time.
Michelangelo is often silly and rarely serious, usually cracking jokes and finding humor in most things and situations; and this usually causes people to underestimate him both in combat ability and general brightness. Obviously, in actuality, Michelangelo is not only an impressive fighter, but he's also quite bright (he usually comes up with great ideas).
The truth is Michelangelo puts on the demeanor of somewhat of an oaf as a strategic plan to put his opponents off guard.
Another reason is to brighten up dreary situations and to bring up his brothers' spirits.
Of his four brothers, Michelangelo most likely looks up to Donatello. The two share common interests and Michelangelo envies Donatello's mechanical and engineering skills, often hovering over Donatello with interest as Donatello constructs something (much to Donatello's annoyance).
Michelangelo usually doesn't put enough effort in things and is quite the slacker. Even in dire situations, Michelangelo usually doesn't put in %100.
However, when Michelangelo does put in his full potential, he reaches a level close to that of Leonardo.
