Many comicbook titles out there end up having a blemish or two in it's history. TMNT had three. This is the thread to talk about them. - Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation
- TMNT Image series (aka the infamous Volume 3)
- TMNT III movie

Hey, TMNT III wasn't that bad... I mean - it was much different from TMNT I and II but not that bad.
I think it was even better than II. Better fighting scenes, they used their weapons, better soundtrack... better everything.

Oh yeah- I agree with the Next Mutation being tainted. HOWEVER.. I did like it. First, it was the Turtles and it was live action since the movies. I may get stoned for this, but I LIKED VENUS. Most fans would rather eat a hot coal than speak of a female turtle, but she had potential. We all know Saban butchered the show with the cheesy sound effects and overUSED stock footage, lol! The show had its charms, and the costumes weren't that bad. Hehe.
Image TMNT-- Ok, few people liked this because it took the Turtles and sliced and diced every which way. The stories were FABULOUS though! The artwork was a bit confusing to me, but that's because at the time, I hadn't read very many American comics. Character detail was amazing.
TMNT III- It just went back to the cartoony roots. It's a movie you have to watch a few times to appreciate it. Out of the three choices here, movie3 is my least favorite, but that doesn't mean I hate it. Again, it's the Turtles <3.
I really hope the 4th movie is awesome.. *prays* XD

I think TMNT III > TMNT II in many aspects - fighting scenes, plot, BGM, Casey Jones...

TMNT III: I honestly think the there was a few things that killed this movie for me, to the point where I have trouble watching it. One the costumes are horrible, the Turtles look like crazy frogs and Splinter looks like a rabid monkey... I also have problems with some of the ways they handled Japanese culture. I admit I haven't watched this film in a while, but I would be willing to... *dies* To point out excate things. Yes I am nit picky, yes I have fun nit picking stuff- but I still enjoy it *laughs* Personally I love the second film, mostly because the costumes were so well done. (Its seems the look of the Turtles really effects my enjoyment of the film *laughs*) It had stupidness *coughsvanillaiceendcoughs* But over all I felt it was less idiotic then the 3rd film. Image: I haven't read in a while and I would have to go back and review before I could have a detail discussion, though I am never overly fond of anything that involves Leonardo getting hurt. I am goofy that way so sue me! NT:NTM: My big problem with this show actually isnlt Venus, though I thought Saban was stupid with the way they handled her character, but honestly when isnlt Saban stupid. I was very put off by the way they handled Leonardo's character in this universe. I haven't seen it in ages to be honest, but I just remember watching it and not liking what they did to Leo.

TMNT III: I liked the movie, I found it interesting, the only fault I have is the same as many others, the costumes stunk, yes, the guys had spots in all three movies, but in 1 and 2, they didn't stick out like sore thumbs and the guys and Splinter looked more realistic, in three they looked...well platicy(is that a word?) My favorite of the three was TMNT I, I loved the story line, I loved everything that went on, heck! The astral projection was awesome! It went more in depth with the guys, and what they did and all.
MNT:NM: I've never seen the series, but it looked interesting in screenshots I've seen, and I admit I like Venus, I thin k she's cool, maybe because she used magic, I don't know. *hides from thrown stones*

Next Mutation was definitely tainted. Ninja Turtles on steroids wearing wrestling attire didn't appeal to me. The Image series had its good and bad points, as well. The good: story, art, and violence. The bad: certain character developments, over-the-top mutilations. TMNT III wasn't too bad. I liked the story, but the animatronics were choppy; much poorer than in the first two films. Plus, even though Casey was in the movie, he wasn't in it enough. Overall, I think the third flick could have been better if they used my premise to integrate the comic with the cartoon (Shredder gets "resurrected" by Krang, creates a Technodrome and two more mutants named Bebop and Rocksteady to get revenge on the turtles; Professor Perry happens to be an Utrom, who helps the turtles, along with Casey and Splinter, fight Krang and Shredder in a climactic final battle to determine the fate of the city). But I digress.

TMNT 3 is still my fav movie. I rented NT:NM "East Meets West" two time mainly for me and my big bro. Venus is a cool turtle. I'm a fan of her too.

Next Mutation seems pretty sad in the Turtle history to me... considering the introduction of Venus De Milo... It would of been cool to have her killed off in the comic book in a bloody horror fashion....but thats just me lol
