There are two types of katana we've seen Leo carry in different incarnations... The straight blade, and the curved blade. Which type do you favor more? The modern ninja-to, or the traditional katana? (these pics below are just examples of the two types. I'm not asking for you to pick out of these two images) NINJA-TOKATANA

Because of my love for swords, I like both.
I myself have got two ninja-to and they look very beautyful. My sensei told me, that the ninja-to belongs to the group of katana, too and is mostly used by ninjas. The curved one is used by samurais.
( I hope that I understood him right )

Wow, they're both beautiful, but I think I like the straight one better, like the one in the current cartoon, I think.

My sensei told me, that the ninja-to belongs to the group of katana, too and is mostly used by ninjas. The curved one is used by samurais. Yes, ninja-to does belong in the "family" of katana, but historicly, both ninja and samurai used katana. From what I've read and understand, the ninja-to is a variation of the katana that was created around the time of World War II. Anyway, I personally favor Leo using katana over ninja-to.

The katana does look beautiful and I think that it suits Leo better, your alleyway danger pic proved that so well. They are both gorgeous weapons, the hilts are stunning but I've got to go with the katana, I think it's the curved blade that does it for me.

I'd have to agree. The Katana is the better sword that suits Leo well...

Though I do like both the styles of the Ninja-to and the Katana, I would have to choose the Katana mainly because of the formality of it. The Ninja-to appears to be of a European/Japanese combination, for it is a straight edged sword with the traditional 1 sided Japanese style edge.

The Katana suits Leo much better then the Ninja-to, plus it looks like it might be more efficient then the Ninja-to because of the curve.

I like the katana better, as well. The curve makes it easier to unsheath and it's more aerodynamic when in use. It also seems less bulky and more lightweight.

Curved, definatly. Ever since I figured out how to draw katana properly, I've always favored the traditional katana instead of the ninja-do. It is easier to draw, but that is beside the point. Curved blades seem easier to weild, to me. Don't know why, but that is what I generally think. Also, like Krow said, it seems less bulky than it's brother, the Ninja-do
